Earlier this year, I got to visit the most populous city in the UAE and one of the most visited cities in the world. I won’t lie; I was like a kid in a candy shop. The fact that unlike our country, you can carry a camera and photograph anything you want, kept me awake. I don’t know how Kenya expects photographers to sell Nairobi as a tourist destination if you can’t take photos of the City, but that’s a fight for another day. In Dubai, everything is Grand, so that provides lots of photographic opportunities, especially if you are into Architecture photography.
Since I returned from this trip, I promised my Canon that we would to travel the world and show people different destinations from our point of view. This was just a start, I can proudly say I have seen the sun go down from the highest observation deck in the world and it was breathtaking. That’s definitely an image i want on my travel wall.
As many of you know by now, am a lover of the Golden Light, so I seized every moment I could get to see the sun come up and go down, like someone once said, “I have never met a Sunset I didn’t like”
Enjoy some Golden moments below that I was able to capture, keep it here for the second part of my Dubai blog in a few days.
To all budding photographers, every destination has something special, I have toured our country too, especially parks that has wildlife (because of my interest in wildlife photography) and there is always something amazing to see. So don’t wait until you travel outside the country, start from home. Take out your camera, leave the house, go out and shoot. Adventure is out there waiting for you, many foreign tourists save their entire life, travel thousands of miles to visit a place you could drive to in two hours.
Remember, life is a great adventure or nothing.
